Publications

  • The Wedding Cake House, published June 19, 2024 in The Writing Disorder, an LA-based literary magazine that was established in 2010.

  • Published September 19, 2023 —a short story called “Window Number 9” in Issue 7 of the literary journal Marrow Magazine. It’s dark and twisty, with pandemic origins.

  • Flash fiction entitled “Tango” in Issue 2 of Epiphany Magazine, about which Willard Cook, the magazine’s founder and editor, noted:

I am delighted with the pieces that have been chosen for this issue. When I read Devjani Huggins’ poem Curses, Elizabeth Gaffney’s story On the Circulation of Blood or Joseph Hallstein’s In Defense of Molly Bloom, I am thrilled that we are able to attract such talent. There is a great sense of urgency to all the writing in this issue. Good writing demands that the reader consider what is being said as well as how it is being said. Consider Amy Cacciola’s sentence from her piece Tango,“And the tango is such a lovely way to move -- so deftly, aggressively, at and yet with each other -- arguing for a past within the present. Such a lovely way to age: his left and her right arm hanging limp, opposite hips clinging, hinging old to new.” One can feel the pressures of both the art and the argument which make it a worthwhile read.”
